- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup protein powder (vanilla or chocolate)
- 1 cup chocolate chips (dark, milk, or your favorite variety)
Instructions
- Brown the butter in a saucepan over medium heat until golden brown with a nutty aroma.
- Mix the browned butter with brown sugar and granulated sugar until smooth.
- Add the eggs and vanilla extract, whisking until incorporated.
- Combine the flour, baking soda, protein powder, and salt in another bowl, then gradually add to the wet ingredients.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Chill the dough in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Scoop the cookie dough onto the baking sheet, spacing them apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are golden brown.
- Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
Notes
For extra flavor, try adding nuts or dried fruit. Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
