A cozy dessert that combines sweet apples, crunchy topping, and a protein twist, perfect for any time of the year.


Ingredients

  • 4 medium Apples (a mix of sweet and tart)
  • 1 cup Rolled Oats
  • 1 scoop Protein Powder
  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar or Coconut Sugar
  • 2 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup Butter or Coconut Oil
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1/4 tsp Salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prep the apples by peeling, coring, and slicing them into thin wedges.
  3. Spice the sliced apples with brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt in a large bowl.
  4. Layer the spiced apples into jars.
  5. Prepare the crisp topping by combining oats, protein powder, remaining brown sugar, and cinnamon in a bowl.
  6. Melt the butter (or coconut oil) and mix it into the oat mixture until crumbly.
  7. Top each jar with the crisp topping and press down gently.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes until the topping is golden brown and apples are bubbling.
  9. Cool for a few minutes before serving.
  10. Serve with a scoop of ice cream or whipped cream.

Notes

Can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator. Adjust baking time if jars are cold.
