Ingredients
- Cucumbers: 5 (for witches’ fingers)
- Green Hummus: 1 cup
- Mini Hot Dogs: 12
- Puff Pastry: 1 package
- Ketchup or Mustard: for decoration
- Cream Cheese: 8 ounces (for pumpkin cheese balls)
- Cheddar Cheese: 1 cup grated
- Chives: 1/4 cup chopped
- Parsley: 1/4 cup chopped
Instructions
- Prepare the hummus: In a food processor, combine 1 can of drained chickpeas, 2 tablespoons tahini, 1 clove garlic, 2 tablespoons lemon juice, and a handful of spinach or 1 ripe avocado. Pulse until smooth.
- Slice the cucumbers: Cut the cucumbers into sticks that resemble fingers, about 4 inches long.
- Preheat the oven: Set your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface and cut it into thin strips.
- Wrap the mini hot dogs in the strips of puff pastry, leaving spaces for the eyes.
- Bake: Place on a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
- Add the eyes with ketchup or mustard once cooled.
- Mix the cheese ball ingredients: Combine cream cheese, grated cheddar, chives, and parsley.
- Shape: Form into a round ball and create grooves to resemble a pumpkin.
- Chill: Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.
