Description

Delicious savory pastries filled with sausage, perfect for Halloween gatherings.


Ingredients

  • Puff Pastry
  • Sausages (pork, chicken, or vegan)
  • Mustard (Dijon or whole grain)
  • 1 Egg (for egg wash)
  • Herbs and Spices (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Prepare the puff pastry by thawing and rolling it out.
  3. Remove sausage casings and crumble meat into a bowl.
  4. Cut puff pastry into 4×6 inch rectangles.
  5. Place a spoonful of the sausage mixture in the center of each pastry.
  6. Fold the pastry over the filling and seal edges with a fork.
  7. Beat the egg and brush it over the top of each pastry.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
  9. Cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Serve with mustard or ketchup for dipping. These can be customized with various fillings or toppings.
