Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt in a large mixing bowl.
- Cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy—about 3-5 minutes.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract into the butter mixture, and beat until well combined.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients; mix on low until just combined.
- Chill the dough in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- Roll out the chilled dough to about ¼-inch thick and cut out biscuits using a skull-shaped cookie cutter.
- Place the cutouts on a parchment-lined baking sheet, leaving space between them.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.
- Cool the biscuits on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
- Decorate with icing and edible decorations once completely cool.
