Ingredients

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup lemon juice
  • Zest of 2 lemons
  • Powdered sugar for glaze

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare a 9×13 inch baking dish by greasing it lightly with butter or lining it with parchment paper.
  3. Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over low heat for about 5 minutes.
  4. Mix the melted butter, sugar, and eggs together until combined, then add the vanilla extract.
  5. Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl, then gradually add to the wet ingredients.
  6. Add the lemon zest and juice into the batter and fold until just combined.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes.
  8. Glaze the cooled brownies with a mixture of powdered sugar and lemon juice.
