Ingredients

  • 1 pound Italian Sausage
  • 8 ounces Shell Pasta
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream
  • 3 cups Chicken Broth
  • 1 medium Onion, diced
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 3 cups fresh Spinach
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan Cheese
  • Red Pepper Flakes, to taste (optional)

Instructions

  1. Sauté the sausage in a large pot over medium heat, breaking it up until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  2. Add the diced onion and cook until translucent, about 3-4 minutes. Stir in the minced garlic and red pepper flakes for another minute.
  3. Pour in the chicken broth, scraping any brown bits. Bring to a simmer.
  4. Add the shell pasta and cook until al dente, about 9-11 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Stir in the heavy cream and let it simmer for another 2-3 minutes to thicken.
  6. Incorporate the spinach and Parmesan cheese, stirring until well combined.
  7. Season to taste with salt, pepper, and more red pepper flakes if desired.

Notes

Serve with a sprinkle of fresh parsley or extra Parmesan. Pairs well with a simple side salad or garlic bread.
