  • 4 cups water + ¼ cup baking soda

Cinnamon Sugar Coating:

  • ½ cup sugar

  • 1½ tsp cinnamon

  • 4 Tbsp melted butter

Cream Cheese Dip (Optional):

  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened

  • 2 Tbsp powdered sugar

  • 1 Tbsp milk

  • ½ tsp vanilla


Instructions

  1. Make Dough: Mix warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let sit 5 mins. Stir in salt, flour, butter. Knead 5–7 mins until smooth. Let rise 1 hour.

  2. Shape Bites: Punch down dough. Roll into ropes, cut into ¾-inch bites.

  3. Boil: Boil in baking soda water for 30 seconds. Drain well.

  4. Bake: Bake at 425°F for 12–15 mins until golden.

  5. Coat: Brush hot bites with butter, toss in cinnamon sugar.

  6. Dip: Blend cream cheese, sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
