Description

A cozy comfort dish featuring layers of tender beef, zesty spices, creamy cheese, and crunchy tater tots.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound Ground Beef
  • 1 medium Onion, diced
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 medium Green Bell Pepper, diced
  • 1 can (15 oz) Canned Tomato Sauce
  • 1 cup Corn, frozen or canned
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) Cream of Mushroom Soup
  • 2 cups Cheddar Cheese, shredded
  • 2030 oz Tater Tots
  • Salt and Pepper, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Sauté the diced onion, bell pepper, and minced garlic in olive oil for 3-5 minutes until softened.
  3. Brown the ground beef, breaking it apart, and cook until browned (5-7 minutes) while draining excess fat.
  4. Combine the cooked beef with tomato sauce, corn, and cream of mushroom soup until well mixed.
  5. Layer the beef mixture in a greased 9×13 inch casserole dish and sprinkle shredded cheese on top.
  6. Top with tater tots, arranging them evenly.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes until tater tots are golden brown.
  8. Let the casserole rest for a few minutes before serving.
  9. Serve warm, optionally with fresh herbs on top.

Notes

Pair with a side salad or garlic bread. Can be made ahead and frozen.
